Denver EDM Venues: Every Room Worth Knowing
Quick answer Mission Ballroom is the big indoor room, Fillmore and Ogden are the classic Colfax stops, and Cervantes' and Black Box carry the club-sized bass nights, and Summit books a mixed calendar. Age limits are set show by show, so check the event page before you buy. Details are as of Oct 2026. Where we could not confirm something on an official site, we say so.
Denver is a great town for bass music, and each room has its own feel. Here is what each one is, based on what the venues publish. We use this list ourselves.
Mission Ballroom: the big indoor room
Mission Ballroom is at 4242 Wynkoop St. in Denver [1]. It is run by AEG Presents in the North Wynkoop district near RiNo, and it has a flexible stage [2]. Capacity is up to 3,950, and the flexible stage can bring that down to about 2,200 for a smaller feel [2].
- Floor: the room is set up as general admission or partly reserved depending on the event, with limited reserved seats in the East and West balconies [3].
- Age: shows are labeled All Ages, 16+, 18+ or 21+. People 18 to 20 can go to 18+ shows but not 21+ shows [3].
- Getting there: the venue is blocks from the light rail station at 38th & Blake [1]. Paid parking is on site, and overnight parking is not allowed [1].
- Coat check: available, and the venue can check extra items like bags for $5 [3].
Fillmore Auditorium: Colfax classic
The Fillmore is at 1510 Clarkson St. [4]. Most events are general admission standing room, first come, first served, with VIP boxes upstairs [4].
- Age: it depends on the listing. For 16+ shows, every guest must be 16 and show valid government ID. All Ages shows need no ID, but everyone needs a ticket [4].
- Bags: large bags and backpacks are prohibited, along with outside food and drink, camera lenses and water bladders [4].
- Re-entry: not allowed [4].
- Rides: rideshare drop-off and pickup is at Colfax and Clarkson. Limited off-site parking is sold separately [4].
We could not find an official capacity figure for the Fillmore, so we are not printing one.
Ogden Theatre: the other Colfax staple
The Ogden is at 935 E. Colfax Ave. [5]. The venue's rule is that all shows are 16 and up unless noted otherwise [6]. It is general admission standing room, with a very limited number of first-come, first-served balcony seats [6].
- Bags: large backpacks, suitcases, beach bags and equipment bags are prohibited. Everyone goes through walk-through metal detectors [6].
- Parking: preferred parking sits behind the theatre, and spots can be added to your ticket online [5].
We did not find an official capacity on the Ogden's site, so check before you plan a group.
Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom and Other Side
Cervantes' is at 2635 Welton St. [7]. It runs two rooms, the Masterpiece Ballroom and the Other Side, and some shows use both at once as a "Dual Venue" [8]. The calendar there mixes electronic and bass with hip-hop, funk, jam and more [8].
- Age: most listings say 16 and up. Some say 18 and up, and some are all ages [8].
- Capacity: not on the pages we checked. The venue links technical spec sheets and lists a phone number, (303) 297-1772 [7][9].
Summit: mixed-genre club room on Blake St.
Summit is at 1902 Blake St. [10]. It has two rooms, Summit and the Moonroom [10].
- Age: it varies. If no age limit is listed for an event, the event is all ages. ID is required for age-restricted shows and for alcohol [11].
- Bags: the venue lists a 12" x 12" x 6" bag limit. The bag-policy FAQ writes it as 12" x 6" x 12", the same dimensions in a different order, so travel light [11].
- Re-entry: not allowed [11].
- Stairs: there is no elevator to the balcony [11].

Bluebird Theater: standing room on Colfax
The venue says all shows are 16 and up unless noted [12]. It is general admission standing room with limited first-come balcony seating [12]. Large backpacks, suitcases and equipment bags are prohibited, and guests walk through metal detectors [12]. The Bluebird is at 3317 E. Colfax Ave. [18] We did not verify capacity from the venue's own pages.
Black Box: electronic and bass nights
The Black Box's own event site lists two rooms, The Black Box and The Lounge, with electronic nights and open decks in the Lounge [13]. We could not confirm its address, age policy or capacity from an official page. Check the event listing before you go.
The Church, Vinyl and the club scene
CoClubs describes itself as a family-owned group of nightclubs in Denver [14]. Its site names Church Nightclub and Vinyl in its About section, and says Studio 1134 is 21+ only [14]. We could not open official pages for The Church or Vinyl, so we are not listing their addresses or door policies here. Look up the current rules on the venue's ticket page.
