Privacy Policy

Drop ("Drop," "we," "us," or "our") is an EDM event-discovery and social app operated by Resonance Ventures LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Drop, you agree to this policy.

01Information we collect

We collect the following, depending on how you use the app:

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name or username, email address, and (if you add one) a profile photo. Authentication is handled through our backend provider, Supabase.
  • Content you create. Posts, comments, messages, group chats, and other content you share through Drop's social features.
  • Location. If you turn it on, we use your approximate or precise location to power features like discovering nearby events and finding your crew at a venue. Location access is optional and controlled by your device permissions; you can turn it off at any time.
  • Saved events and preferences. Events you save, follow, or get reminders for, and settings you choose.
  • Usage and device data. How you interact with the app, plus device type, operating-system version, app version, general location inferred from IP address, and diagnostic or crash data.

02How we use your information

  • Provide and personalize your event-discovery feed.
  • Enable social features, including group chat and finding your crew at a venue.
  • Send reminders and notifications about events you've saved (you can opt out).
  • Maintain safety, moderate content, and prevent abuse.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

03How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • Service providers. Companies that run infrastructure on our behalf — including Supabase (backend, authentication, and database hosting), push-notification delivery, and analytics or crash-reporting tools — under agreements that limit their use of your data.
  • Other users. Your profile and any content you choose to post are visible to other users. If you use crew features, your location may be shared with people you connect with, only while you have the feature enabled.
  • Ticketing partners. When you tap a ticket link, you are directed to Etix or another official ticketing site to complete your purchase. Those purchases are governed by the ticketing provider's own privacy policy. We participate in the Etix Event Discovery Network affiliate program (operated through Partnerize), which may use identifiers to attribute referrals to Drop. We do not sell tickets or process payments.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or Drop.
  • Business transfers. If Drop is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

04Your choices and rights

  • Access and update your account information in the app.
  • Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from within the app; this removes your information except where we must retain it for legal reasons.
  • Location and notifications. Control location access and push notifications through your device settings.
  • Privacy rights. Depending on where you live (including under the Colorado Privacy Act and similar U.S. state laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your information. Contact us to exercise them.

05Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

06Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07Children

Drop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Some events listed in the app may carry their own age restrictions set by venues or organizers.

08Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
