Co-produced by Aluna alongside executive producer Lido, and featuring contributions from Princess Nokia, Jada Kingdom, SG Lewis, KAYTRANADA, Scott Storch, GRADES, Mr. Carmack and Rema, Renaissance represented the culmination of her journey of “a black girl in an all-white British suburb back in the day” to launching a rule-breaking revolution where rigid boundaries dissolve between culture, race, gender, and genre. Beyond generating over 100 million streams, it garnered widespread tastemaker acclaim. Pitchfork noted, “The album showcases her curatorial skills…and her range,” while Clash raved, “Renaissance sees Aluna cementing herself as one of the most exciting artists around with this iconic offering that will inspire dance records for years to come.” Aluna further cemented herself as one of the most important curators and voices in dance music with her second full-length solo offering, MYCELiUM (Mad Decent) released July, 2023. NPR said, “With an emphasis on queer and/or Black artists from many different countries, she’s built a powerful statement about claiming your power while still leaving space for others.” Billboard observed, “[MYCELiUM] features creative, interconnected work…altogether forming a foundation of diversity that’s the core of Aluna’s mission.”</p><br><p style="margin:0;">Willo</p><br><p style="margin:0;">Willo is known for club-focused productions and DJ sets that blend a fresh, forward-thinking dancefloor sound with warmth and movement. Sitting between house, warehouse-leaning rhythms and UK/European dance influences, her world brings together physical energy, melodic feeling and a distinct sense of identity.</p><p style="margin:0;">Over the past few years, Willo has built strong foundations across Australia and New Zealand through major festival appearances, national support tours and sold-out headline shows. From intimate rooms to large-scale festival stages, she's developed a live identity rooted in momentum and release.</p><p style="margin:0;">As a producer, Willo has continued to sharpen a sound that feels both emotionally charged and club-ready. Her Watching a Memory mixtape on Future Classic revealed a more expansive, genre-bending side of her practice, with music landing on the iconic EA SPORTS FC 24 and FC 25 soundtracks. She then pushed deeper into dance music with her Reflecting EP on UK label Stress Records — a five-track release blending house, festival euphoria and cutting-edge electronic production, earning support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM and major editorial playlists across Spotify and Apple Music.</p><p style="margin:0;">More recently, Willo's self-released single "Funk2" marked an important next step in her independent momentum. A wonky, off-kilter cut, the track bottled the playful energy of her DJ sets while strengthening her identity as a self-directed producer. Landing in Beatport's Tech House Top 100 and gaining strong online traction , "Funk2" helped open the door to a fast-growing international audience across streaming, clubs and social platforms.</p><p style="margin:0;">Her latest self-release, "Release, " continues that evolution — minimal, hypnotic and made for dimly lit rooms, reflecting a more refined and focused chapter for Willo.
